The Ice Bucket regatta this past Saturday (1/8/2022) lived up to its reputation of being Cold and Blustery. Mother Nature served up bright sunshine, temps in the mid 20s, 8 kts of breeze, and backdrop of fresh snow for the 2022 Ice Bucket Regatta

It is with great sadness that we share the news that a great icon for sailing on Deep Creek Lake and beyond, Barbara Griffin, passed away on January 5, 2022 at home with her husband, Don, and two of her daughters at her side. Her passion for sailing was revealed not only on the water but also as a leader in numerous organizations that support sailing on Deep Creek Lake and across the nation. Congratulations to Dan and Ella Neff for Winning the 2021 LNYC Fall 48! Saturday morning started with temps in the 30s and the wind in the 20s. After a short postponement ashore to let the breeze die down into the upper teens, we got in 3 races Saturday (2 Sunday).
