As David Rink posted on our Facebook Page, there have been many Flying Scot Regattas over the last few weeks, and that includes at least 9 on the weekend of 10/2-10/3/2021.  This is very exciting for our class and it is wonderful to see this much activity.  This is what we know so far:

Lake Champlain is an awesome sailing venue that provided an excellent playground for our Flying Scot cruise.  Jan Reimers (4134) and Tim Mallette (1777) were on the planning committee that organized one of two cruising options, the other being in Michigan.

There were four boats in our flotilla.  We met at the launching ramp in Colchester, VT on Sunday, rigged our boats and sailed around a small peninsula to our home dock.  The dock in which we were to moor our boats was challenging.  The dock was well worn and the water...

The 14th Annual Glow in the Dark II Regatta is in the books!   “The Glow” is hosted by the Clinton Lake Sailing Association and Fleet 135 and takes place on the first weekend of October.  This year we enjoyed record-breaking turnout with 34 Flying Scots competing.  Thank you to all the racers and volunteers who made the event such a great success.  The event was originally named the Glow in the Dark Regatta because Clinton Lake is a cooling lake for the nuclear plant.  The first version of the event was held between 1985-1999.  ...

The Open House Regatta is the Flying Scot Fleet 23 signature regatta at Corinthian Sailing Club on White Rock Lake. This year marks the return of the Texas Steak Dinner Saturday night, along with all of our usual fun and great food. The Notice of Race with more info is available on the CSC website:
