With great regret and no small amount of heartbreak, we must back away from hosting the 2025 Flying Scot Midwinters at Davis Island YC in Tampa in April. As you know, a pair of hurricanes first flooded the Tampa Bay area and then attempted to blow us all away in October. 

The damage is mind-boggling—not just at the yacht club facilities, but at the homes and in the families that make DIYC the "sailingest club in the South." 

Ours is a volunteer club; we have the skills and the will to rebuild, and I have every confidence that the club will be able to host excellent regattas again, though it will take time. 

In the meanwhile, thanks for understanding and we look forward to seeing everyone on the water soon!
