The 2025 Flying Pig regatta at Cowan Lake Sailing Association was held May 31 – June 1, 2025.

We had a total of 11 boats in two fleets.  Conditions were great Saturday.  A little chilly with good wind to be able to run 3 good races.

With only 3 boats in our Challenger fleet, they agreed to fold into one start while still being scored as a separate fleet.  This allowed them to gain experience in a larger starting field and oval fleet size while still being scored as a unique fleet.  The final results show both soring as independent fleets and the combined results as if we were...

The women are ready to race at the 2025 Women's NAC. There are 17 teams vying for the top spots! Go sailors!

21 teams, including 17 road warriors, converged on Lake Keowee for the 2025 Grits ‘n Haggis Regatta on May 17-18, 2025.  The wind did not disappoint, as a consistently strong southwest flow provided 13-16 mph winds, with gusts to 20, on Saturday, and 8-10 mph winds with gusts nearing 15 on Sunday.  Strong wind with lots of gusts made for tired muscles on the racecourse, but relatively easy work for the KSC Race Committee team, which was able to run 7 races over the 2 day event.

Severe weather preceded and threatened the entire weekend, but the 2025 Grande Maumelle Sailing Club’s was a success. A Cajun feast Friday night and obligatory smoked Hawg (pork) dinner Saturday night insured fun regardless of the weather. In addition to the usual fleet boats, we were honored to have Barry and Tracy Hamrick from Atlanta travel to Little Rock to sail with us, sail to a nice second place at that! The winner of the Flying Scot fleet was Chet Hight (FS 5860) with crew Joe Falasco. Chet continues to amaze all while racking up trophies...
