Awards presented by Regatta Chair Marvin Pozefsky for Fleet 42 Summer Solstice Regatta at Selby Bay Sailing Center. Cole Daitch won with his grandfather Craig Singleton as crew. Len Guenther and Barb placed second. Frank Gibson and Debbie were third. Some hot racing with boats from Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and New Jersey on the starting line. Great party and food in the Selby Bay Solstice Regatta tradition.

The Flying Scot Buckeye Regatta was sailed May 16-17 at HSC with 17 boats, a high for recent years. The weather gods were not cooperative but the sailors were intrepid and raced three races in pouring rain on Saturday. At 5:00PM hot showers were more popular than the appetizers.
There were 9 off-the-lake boats unless you count HSC former Commodore Jim Cottle's brother in law, Jack Markwick from Illinois, as a Hoover Boat since his crew were...

You may remember that we are raffling off a brand new, built to order Flying Scot in the color of the winner's choice. We said we would sell a minimum of 200 tickets and a maximum of 250 tickets. The proceeds after paying for the boat will benefit the Flying Scot Foundation that helps us ensure the future of Flying Scot Sailing.
