The New York Lakes Districts were held at Skaneateles Sailing Club in New York on 7/27 =7/28. 2019. The weather cooperated and the racing was competitive.  First, Second and third place winners are pictured above along with a cake that looks too good to eat!. Full results are here.

 

The 2019 Sandy Douglass Memorial Regatta at Deep Creek is a wrap with two beautiful but challenging days of sailing. WIth Harry Carpenter, Tyler and Carrie ANdrews running races,  Bruce and Lynn Kitchen were Gold Class winners in a tight fleet of 21 boats. Robert Gerlach & Anthony Celo won the SIlver Class, Charles & Sarah Buffington were Masters winners and Rose and Eric von Eckhartsberg were Challenger winners. Oh, and the monkey? He went to Robert and Nina Cummings who I am sure will add the Texas touch for next year!  Full results are...

 New England District Champions Roger and Kate Sharp

With 14 boats competing in the FS New England Districts, first place goes to Roger and Kate Sharp from Massapoag Yacht Club! Second was John and Connie Eckart from MYC. Third was David Corey and his niece Taylor Corey from Duxbury. MYC’s Gary Werden and Brandon Dickerman were fourth. The racing was great, getting in 5 races, on a sunny day in the 80’s with winds 13-16 and some gusts. Congratulations! Full results are ...

A few weeks back, Jim Morey with FS 3277 challenged Flying Scot owners to see if anyone in the class had a single family owned boat for 40 years-plus. Well, it turns out that Jim Leggette in FS1518 has a single family owned boat for a little over 50 years. Here's the boat and the bill of sale to prove it. Anyone care to challenge Jim?
