Four women's teams sailed out under the Newport Bridge for the 2016 Women's NAC. When they left the dock around 11:00 AM< the wind was light but by the time they got to the race course, the wind had picked up and there was plenty of breeze. The finishes were close between the 1st and 2nd place boats in all 3 races. But in the end, Lynn Bruss and her crew, Deb Aronson and Stacey Rieu prevailed. Full results are here.

The 2016 Flying Scot North American Championships are just a few weeks away, July 16-21, but don;t worry, there's still time to sign up! There's not a much more beautiful place to sail than Newport, Rhode Island and we are fortunate to be holding our regatta there. The Massabesic Yacht Club in Manchester, New Hampshire, hosted their annual Regatta on September 19th and 20th. The regatta was open to Windmills, Lightnings and Flying Scots. The racers were graced with excellent wind speed of 7-12mph and gusts up to 18mph on Saturday. If you are a lake sailor you know wind shifts can be a challenge and on Saturday the shifts were greater than normal.
