Flying Scot ACC's -
Another successful Flying Scot ACC's are in the books. Thirty boats participated in two divisions at Fishing Bay Yacht Club this past weekend. The competition was fierce as the results from Saturday were completely changed on Sunday that showed the talent in this highly competitive fleet. The Championship Division had 26 teams competing and the Challengers had 4 teams. We were blessed with great weather both days, excellent race management, incredible food including a fantastic taco bar on Saturday night prepared by FBYC Nica Waters, lots of Southern hospitality and loads of fun visiting old and new friends. Saturday the wind was between 4 - 7 and Sunday was slightly higher with 8 -10.
First place team of David Neff and Jason Hair from Selby Bay won three of the five races to take overall honors as the ACC Champions and Capital District Champions. Second place went to FBYC's Rob Whittemore and Kevin Clark who won the other two races. Finishing in third was another FBYC sailor, Len Guenther and Ron Thompson. Charlie Clifton sailing with his son, Chip from the Sarasota Sailing Squadron finished in fourth. Fifth place went to John Kreidler and Joe Brake from the Western Carolina Sail Club. In the Challenger Division FBYC's Ric Bauer and his wife, Sharon had five bullets winning the title to this division
