Wanted to show my wife a Scot and looking to buy a used one (Central Vermont)

We are looking to buy a used Scot for our growing family (7 month old and future sailer).  I have sailed and raced extensively but have not had a boat in several years.I think as Scot is the best boat for us but I wanted to show one in action to my wife to get her opinion.  Mostly she is just unsure about what it might like to be on.Is anyone in the area (we are willing to drive a bit) up for taking us for a spin? Also we are looking for a used Scot.  Again we are able to drive a bit to get it.  With the 7 month old I am not up for a major project boat so want one that is in good shape. Thanks!

You may want to contact fleets in Massachusetts. I think Mossapoag has a club boat or two. Look at the new England District Fleets for info.

They may also know of boats that are for sale in your area.

Thanks! We found a fleet in NY that was only 1.5 hours from us so we visited them last weekend.  It was nice to see the boats in action.

We keep our FS moored on Lake Bomoseen if you want to take a look at it some time.FS 1573

We will be sailing on Lake Bomoseen from this week.  Is there a way to private message or email with any questions?  We will dry sail the boat so I was wondering about good ramps and other options to cut down on the prep time to get more time on the water!SamRutland

Hi, sorry I didn't see your reply 'til just now.  You can try to reach me during the day at ( 8 O 2 ) Two 3 6 - five eight 3 O. The best place to launch is from the northern "Float Bridge" fishing access:  it's much less crowded than the launch on the western shore known as the "Green Dump" -- for the slate pile, not because there's loads of garbage!  Also, there's much more lake to sail as compared to Lake Dunmore, which Peter K. at Mountain Travelers said he had mentioned. We are usually sailing on Saturdays and some week nights after work.  'Hope to see you out there!
