2-1 Jib termination point

I thought I would find the information someplace in this forum, but have not.
Where am I allowed to terminate a 2-1 Jib sheet. On the Track? On the Block?
Where and how is the best place to accommodate releasing it for 1-1.
Would be nice to hear how other Scot sailors have done this.

I tie mine off to the jib car where the block is attached. We release that knot, and tie off to the block at the jib to go back to 1 to 1.
