Sprite Island Yacht Club 1 Day Douglass-Orr Regatta this past weekend with 4 races and 1 throw out. Plenty of wind, gusts, and shifts to challenge skippers and crew.
1st place —Brian Engel and Jens Miller, Cedar Point Yacht Club
2nd place — Doug Main and Doug Main, Candlewood Yacht Club
3rd place —Tim and Linda Gordon, Sprite Island Yacht Club

Twenty Six boats registered for the 2023 Eqyptian Cup at Carlyle Sailing Association, with two of them coming from outside the district. The wind did not cooperate on Saturday, but on Sunday, there was plenty of wind for 3 races. The Egyptian cup went to Dave Rink and Joel Blade from Lake Norman Yacht Club. The district trophy went to Dan Moriarty and Crew from Carlyle. Full Results are here:

The 2023 Flying Scot NAC Fleet 1 award was presented to Fleet 23, Corinthian Sailing Club, Dallas, TX. This award is for the best Fleet in the NAC. Three fleets were in contention for this award, Fleet 23, Fleet 28 from Lake Norman Yacht Club and Fleet 76 from Massapoag Yacht Club. Congratulations to Fleet 23.
