Lavallette Yacht Club in New Jersey hosted the 2019 Atlantic Coast Championship on 9/21-9/22/2019. Regatta Chair Roy Childers did a super job organizing the event and it was a great time for the sailors. There were 25 boats from 6 states on the line for PRO James Wlash and his RC. They got in 3 races on Saturday in very difficult and choppy conditions and 2 races on Sunday when Mother Nature was a bit kinder! And rock star Hans Noordanus was here visiting and sailed with John Wake to a second place in the event.  Hans noted that 15 years ago the first ACC was sailed at Edenton, NC!

Whale of a Sail Regatta Flying Scot Results

Skipper Rick Wojnar and dad, Chris, from Champaign, IL and Clinton Lake Fleet 135 won first place in the Flying Scot division of the multi-boat Whale of a Sail regatta at Carlyle (IL) Lake September 14 and 15, 2019. Rick and Chris bested 17 registered other Scots by placing 1st in 3 of 4 races in light winds in the 2-day event.  Second place went to Bill Vogler and Peg Woodworth while...

The wind gods were not cooperative today so we did not sail on Day 2 of the 2019 Wife Husbands at Corinthian Sailing Club in Dallas. Fleet 23 were wonderful hosts for the event and everyone had a wonderful time!.  WIth the 3 races sailed yesterday, the trophies will be awarded.  Championship winners are: Kelly and Heidi Gough, Bill and Jennifer Draheim, Ryan Malmgren and Stacey Rieu, Tom and Melissa Miller, and Jeff and Amy Smith Linton.
