Massabesic Yacht Club Annual Regatta

Title:

Massabesic Yacht Club Annual Regatta

Date:
Saturday, September 19, 2015 to Sunday, September 20, 2015
District:

Come north to New Hampshire and enjoy a weekend of racing on the pristine waters of Lake Massabesic, near Manchester, our state's largest city.  Massabesic is the water supply for the City of Manchester, and thus no swimming is allowed.  However, since the property around the lake is owned and controlled by the Manchester Water Works Department, there is very little development on the lakeshore, leaving most all of the lake as natural and as wild as when our club was founded in 1938.  The lake boasts clear waters, natural shorelines, many coves and islands, and an abundance of wildlife (loons, eagles, and much more).  The Massabesic Yacht Club Annual Regatta has often served as the New England District Lightning Class Championship Regatta, and the Windmill Class Northern Championship Regatta.  This year our regatta will not conflict with the regatta hosted by our friends to the south on Lake Massapoag, so we will be able to host a fleet of Flying Scots in our regatta for the very first time!  The Massabesic Yacht Club Annual Regatta is a two-day event featuring 8+ races, awards, refreshments, and plenty of hospitality.  Please help us make history at the Massabesic Yacht Club Annual Regatta by sailing in the innaugural Flying Scot Fleet this coming September!
