Greater New York District Championship & Douglass/Orr Invitational Regatta

Flying Scot Fleet 142 of Sprite Island Yacht Club, Norwalk, CT is pleased to host the 2018 Greater New York District Championship on June 23 - 24. The GNY Districts will be held in conjunction with Sprite Island’s Douglass/Orr Invitational Regatta and the first leg of the Connecticut Cup (for members of a CT Flying Scot fleet).
Festivities will feature a Saturday night lobster/clam bake overlooking Long Island Sound.
Join us on Friday, June 22 for a free speed and sail trim clinic conducted by Brian Hayes of North Sails. Included will be on water coaching and trim tips, short course practice races with video and evening video debrief.
Launching will be Saturday morning from Cedar Point Yacht Club, Westport, CT (or Friday if participating in the North Sails clinic) with towing to Sprite Island. Guest moorings will be provided at Sprite for outside participants.
