Flying Scot 2021 NAC at Cedar Point YC - Day 1 Finals - HONKING!

District:

Flying Scot 2021 NAC - Sorry no interim updates today. It was honking and my hands were too wet to use the phone - I tried! East winds blowing 15-18, sometimes over 20, challenged all the teams that went out today. Big waves, big wind - lots of fun! Some stayed on shore, some came in before racing and some retired during racing. One capsize - no one hurt. Two awesome windward-leeward 4-leg races, where staying upright, staying fast and staying away from other boats was the key! Results here https://yachtscoring.com/emenu.cfm?eid=12992

Cedar Point Yacht Club put on an awesome lobster bake with steamed clams and mussels, and other options for non-lobster eaters. It was great telling the tales of the day - who went left, who went right, who didn't know where to go! Thanks to John Cooke and Robin Hoffman and teams for putting this event together. Two more days of fun still to come!
