After a year with many regattas cancelled, Sarasota Sailing Squadrn hosted the Jeff Pennfield Memorial Regatta on 11/14-15/2020.  There were 22 boats registered and there was good wind!

Amy Smith Linton wrote on Facebook: What a wonderful return to the Flying Scot racing scene for us: the Jeff Penfield regatta was beautifully run (as Sarasota Sailing Squadron has gotten us accustomed to expect!), with the kind of weather we like best: warm and enough breeze for us both to sit on the high side most of the time. I think most of the gang did our best to socially distance with our friends, and I know the sailing was competitive and fun.  And it was a great pleasure for Jeff and me to hand the Jeff Penfield award to Elaine Marie Pardey.  Lainie's voice on the radio is so reassuring; she is kind, cheerful, positive, she clearly loves the Scot and us Scotties, and she drives that powerboat like a boss. Thank you Lainie, for helping make the Florida District series such a wonderful part of our year.
