The winds were howling in Harwichport on 8/3, with 25 MPH out of the SW, gusting even higher and flags were pointing practically straight up! The Race Committee headed out and a few boats went out past the breakwater. With several boats, even some with 3-up, nearly capsizing, deciding to come back in, we waited a bit before making a decision about going out. Within 15 minutes, the Race Committee came back in with a postpone flag. Less than 1/2 hour later races were cancelled for the day. The regatta will be sailed on Sunday 8/4. Two of the 16 boats had to leave and could not return on Sunday.

Just the opposite on Sunday, 8/4, light and variable winds. On a warm, sunny day on the harbor, we got in 4 races, thanks to a terrific Race Committee. Results are attached below. Thanks to the Stone Horse Yacht Club for hosting!
