Friendly reminder to consider making reservations for local accommodations early
During the FSSA Townhall meeting on 27-Jan, Steve Comen gave an update on the Boat Borrowing and Eligibility Committee. The committee has been meeting for six months to address issues related to boat borrowing and eligibiity that have been seen as potentially keeping people from participating in our sanctioned regattas. We have come up with a set of proposed changes that were reviewed with a small set of people and revised. We would now like to get feedback on the proposals from the membership as a whole. The Janet Jones Lorber Trophy- Presented in 1949 by commodore Jones and was rededicated as a memorial to his daughter in 1981 is awarded annually to the best female skipper of the year. This year's recipient is Nancy Claypool. Nancy won the Flying Scot Women’s National Championship. She has served on SYC’s membership Development and Race Committees and also as Chair of Ladies on the Lake.
