The FSSA President would like to recognize an outstanding ambassador for the Flying Scot® class. She has been an active FSSA member for many years and has served as Class Historian for several years, contributing a story to each issue of Scots n’ Water. She also worked tirelessly to submit nominations for Flying Scot designer Sandy Douglass to the Sailing Hall of Fame, and he was ultimately inducted on June 23, 2020. For being a tireless cheerleader for all of us, we bestow the title of FSSA Historian Emeritus to Debbie Cycotte. Thank you so very much Debbie. Well deserved!
Flying Scot Annual Meeting tonight - in person and remote! First, qualifier race awards, then some business, then turning over the gavel from outgoing President Bill Dunham to incoming President Nancy Claypool. We started the evening with great music from the band, then a visit from Past President Dave Jacobsen and his wife Margaret. That was followed with pizza from the Puzza Truck and the evening ended with gelato from the Pizza Truck. Yum!

Flying Scot 2021 NAC last day of arrivals and measuring at Cedar Point YC in Westport, CT. Over half the teams are practice sailing today since there’s a nice wind. Others are catching up with old friends. Qualifiers tomorrow!
