Commodore Decatur Yacht Club in Central Illinois held the Lake Decatur Centennail Regatta the weekend of July 8-9. This was the inaugural regatta for Flying Scots with 26 boats registered. AFter 3 races on Saturday, participants walked down to the Centeniial festivities with music and food vendors on the lakefront. Sunday brought no wind so that was the regatta.

Three Junior Teams sailed in the first ever stand alone Junior NAC at Cedar Point Yacht Club in Westport, CT. Light winds prevailed on day 1, with a little more wind on day 2. All three teams worked hard and had a great time at the event. Results are here

Nockamixon Sail Club hosted the Glenn Wesley Regatta on 6/17/2023 in Quakertown, PA. Thiss Regatta is named for our lare friend and skipper Glenn Wesley, who was instrumentla in keeping the Nockamixon Fleet going as well as making making majorcontributions to this website. Glenn's wife Dorothy was on hand as usual to help with the regatta.

Sprite Island Yacht Club 1 Day Douglass-Orr Regatta this past weekend with 4 races and 1 throw out. Plenty of wind, gusts, and shifts to challenge skippers and crew.

Twenty Six boats registered for the 2023 Eqyptian Cup at Carlyle Sailing Association, with two of them coming from outside the district. The wind did not cooperate on Saturday, but on Sunday, there was plenty of wind for 3 races. The Egyptian cup went to Dave Rink and Joel Blade from Lake Norman Yacht Club. The district trophy went to Dan Moriarty and Crew from Carlyle. Full Results are here:
