Roger Punzi, in whose honor this regatta is held, would be thrilled to see the number of boats that came to this regatta! He was an avid Flying Scot sailor who supported the fleet for many years.
Day 2 on Sunday 10/6 brought pouring rain and 10-12 knot winds, 4 guest boats we're still at the regatta, but two of those decided not to brave the elements. In the end we ran two races with 8 boats on the line with Roger and Kate Sharp from Massapoag walking away with first place... Read More
Well, we didn't get any wind on Saturday, 10/5 at Candlewood, but we had pirates! I guess they thought they could scare everyone out on the race course in case pure skill was not enough! Argh I say!
While we did not race, we had a really great time visitng with old and new friends. There were 20 boats from 3 states registered and ready to go if the predicted wind actually materialized.
