The Florida District encompasses most of the fleets in the state of Florida.Active fleets include Sarasota Sailing Squadron in Sarasota, Coconut Grove Sailing Center in Miami, Rudder Club of Jacksonville, Lake Eustis Sailing Club in Eustis, Davis Island Yacht in Tampa and Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club in Port Charlotte. With developing fleets in Merritt Island, Orlando and Key Largo.
Florida has an active open circuit consisting of one regatta a month from October through May. Race Schedules are posted on FSSA and Facebook. You can follow the Florida District at

Davis Island Yacht Club hosted their 2021 Flying Scot rfegatta on 1/16-17/2021. There was lots of wind Saturday, even a capsize, but everyone made it back into the dock 0k. It was cold in the 60's and the howling wind made Saturday a one race day. Sunday was a bit kinder and there were 2 races. Take a look at this video from Day ! - thanks to Amdy Haywood for sharing:

Lake Eustis Sailing Club hosts the 5th regatta in the 2019-20 Florida District Series and the 4th one in the Snowbird Series. This is the 50th Annual George Washington Birthday Regatta . We had 40+ boats last year and we're hoping to see 50 Scots on the line for the 50th!
