Midwest District Inaugurates a New Travel Series

Forums:

The Midwest District is launching a new travel series this summer. To qualify for the trophy sailors must be FSSA members, a member of the Midwest District and have sailed in three of the five designated regattas. Those regattas are:

Flying Scot Midwest Districts, Eagle Creek Sailing Club, June 21-22
Sheridan Shores Race Weekend, Wilmette Harbor, July 26-28.
Ephraim Regatta, Ephraim Yacht Club, August 2-4
Egyptian Cup, Carlyle Sailing Association, September 2-3
Glow in the Dark Regatta, Clinton Lake Sailing Association, 27-29

I am hopeful we’ll have some Scot sailors who’ve been considering traveling and this series will provide just the impetus to do so! And, of course, sailors from other districts are welcome to join us. See you on the circuit!

Great idea to promote cross fleet relations and competition.

Is the requirement to be a member of the Midwest District or a member of a club in the Midwest District as stated in this blog?

I don't know if there are other FSSA members in the midwest district that don't belong to a club (due to distance).  Depending on which requirement people like these may or may not be able to participate.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to participate either way this year so it doesn't affect me currently.
