Former FSSA President and Chief Measurer Don Hott dies at age 95
District:
This week, the Flying Scot community is a little sadder for the loss of long-time Scot sailor Don Hott, who passed away Sunday, May 3, at age 95. He is a founding father, a former Chief Measurer and former President of FSSA who sailed in the first 50 NACs. As Harry Carpenter said "We lost one of the really good guys with the passing of Don". Harry had crewed for Don in the first NAC Harry ever attended at Riverside in 1973. Don was also a founding member of Deep Creek Yacht Club and the members there will miss him dearly.
Our thoughts are with his dear wife Charlotte and his family as they go through this difficult time. We will always owe a debt of gratitude to Don and it was an honor to have known him.
