The Great Scot Regatta was this past weekend at Birmingham Sailing Club in Alabama.  While Hurricane Nate was on the way, the club managed to get in 3 races for the 24 teams on Satruday and based on the Facebook posts, it was a great time.  I hope we get to see more stories and pictures from this event!

Deb Aronson - "You know you are a crazy Flying Scot sailor when you drive 10 hours TOWARD a hurricane to participate in the Great Scot Regatta at Birmingham Sailing Club. Had a great time. And happily they didn't make us race on Sunday as Nate came ashore!"

Melissa Miller - "What a fun regatta at the beautiful Birmingham Sailing Club! Special thanks to Richard Wade and his lovely wife Billie for their hospitality!"

Eric Bussell - "Great Scot competitors at the local Honky Tonk paying tribute to the late Tom Petty.  Tracy Hambrick (Birmingham), Bill Bruss (Chatanooga), Tom Miller (Corinthian), Robert Copps (Keowee), and Patrick Whatley (Birmingham). Thanks Melissa Miller for the video!"  (view the video above).
