Notice of Race Templates

The NoR templates are required to be used for National regattas. The other templates are provided as a courtesy for use at other regattas. Please contact ncc@fssa.com with any comments or questions.
A few notes about these templates:
– All templates have a revision date as part of the file name so you tell if a template has been updated
– Items highlighted in yellow need to be reviewed/updated based on the specifics of the regatta
– The only difference between the templates for Districts and the templates for local regattas is that local regattas add a line in the eligibility section that says there must be 2, 3, or 4 crew and the same crew must be on board for all races. This is because the Class Rules only include this for sanctioned events. It is purposely NOT included for non-sanctioned events to allow for long series where we don’t necessarily expect the same crew to be aboard for every race of the series.

When you download a template, it will often open in read-only mode for security reasons. If you need hints on how to get around this, see this page.

Sailing Instruction Templates

The SI templates are required to be used for National regattas.
– The SI templates assume use of the WA and LA courses from RRS Appendix S. An addendum containing WA and LA courses is at the end of the template list, along with a second addendum that includes WA and LA courses without a gate. Note that if you use the course diagrams that do not include a gate, you will need to modify SI 9.1 to “The courses to be sailed are WA or LA as described in Addendum A”.
