The winds were howling in Harwichport on 8/3, with 25 MPH out of the SW, gusting even higher and flags were pointing practically straight up! The Race Committee headed out and a few boats went out past the breakwater. With several boats, even some with 3-up, nearly capsizing, deciding to come back in, we waited a bit before making a decision about going out. Within 15 minutes, the Race Committee came back in with a postpone flag. Less than 1/2 hour later races were cancelled for the day. The regatta will be sailed on Sunday 8/4.

2013 NAC start Race 1 finals

DAY 4 - We went out in what looked like no wind as we left the dock and wondered if we would be sitting out there for a while.  After a short postponement, we were off to the races not too far out from the yacht club..  With the Race Committee doing its magic, we were lucky enough to get in 2 decent races today with the winds 4-8.  It was really hard for most skippers to tell which way to go, sometimes left seemed the best, sometimes right...
