The Ice Bucket regatta this past Saturday (1/8/2022) lived up to its reputation of being Cold and Blustery. Mother Nature served up bright sunshine, temps in the mid 20s, 8 kts of breeze, and backdrop of fresh snow for the 2022 Ice Bucket Regatta

It is with great sadness that we share the news that a great icon for sailing on Deep Creek Lake and beyond, Barbara Griffin, passed away on January 5, 2022 at home with her husband, Don, and two of her daughters at her side.  Her passion for sailing was revealed not only on the water but also as a leader in numerous organizations that support sailing on Deep Creek Lake and across the nation.  Don mentioned that Barb was president of thirteen organizations simultaneously when he met her.  She ably led the Flying Scot Sailing Association as President...

Congratulations to Dan and Ella Neff for Winning the 2021 LNYC Fall 48! Saturday morning started with temps in the 30s and the wind in the 20s. After a short postponement ashore to let the breeze die down into the upper teens, we got in 3 races Saturday (2 Sunday). We had 33 entrants, but due to the high winds many boats split up, joined other crews, and went 3 up. Miraculously, no capsizes! Full results are here:

The Clinton Lake Sailing Association is a sailing club located in Central Illinois between Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, and Decatur.  The club features a large outdoor pavilion, 2 ramps, and a small dock with a large grass area for mast-up storage.  When it comes to amenities, CLSA is very rustic and simple relative to most sailing clubs you'll see when traveling to regattas.  There is no indoor clubhouse.  If you don't like using our porta potty you will need to walk a couple hundred yards to the marina building.  In recent years we added...
