Free Flying Scot in Maine!
Hello Flying Scot Friends!
Sadly , we must give away our beloved Flying Scot. It's # 184, so, well travelled. Mom bought it second hand (third), and it spent many summers plying the waters of Penobscot Bay. Sure it's old, but everything is there! Mast & boom, stays and sheets. Mainsail, jib and spinnaker with bags. Lovely red hull! Spinnaker pole, rudder & tiller, a couple oars, paddles, life preseverers, even some cushions!
Problem is that it sits on a trailer (included!) that has two flat tires. And it's at 135 Eaton Point Road Deer Isle ME, which you can see is pretty remote. But if a couple helper sets of hands (and backs!) are all you need to claim it, I can arrange to get some help or could even drive up to assist. I live in the Boston area, but we have many contacts on the island. Deer Isle connected to the mainland by bridge. A beautiful time of year to visit up there. We relly need someone to claim it next week (July 10 - 14) as mom's place is under contract, and the boat is the last item that needs a home.
A big logistical undertaking, but it's a great boat, and it's free! FREE!
We look forard to hearing from you! Best regards
- Philip
