2019 Wife Husband Championship at Corinthian Sailing Club, Dallas, TX – Day 1
It was a beautiful day on White Rock Lake, in the 90’s, sunny with just not enough wind in te morning. The Race Committee n shore while we waited for the breeze to fill in – and it did. We headed out about 12:30 and races started shortly after we got out. We got in 3 great 4-leg Windward-Leeward races in 6-10 MPH easterly winds, and there was very little consistency in the results. Corinthian Sailing Club 1997 Married Couples CHampionship t-shirt! Borrowing a boat has never been easier! Boats are lined up ready to go! We have 37 Wife Husband teams from 10 states at the Corinthian Sailing Club in Dallas, TX, where Fleet 23 is hosting the 2019 Wife Husband Championship.There are 3 divisions with 22 boats in Championship, 5 boats in Challenger and 10 in the Non-spinnaker division. 2019 Crystal Ball Regatta at Crystal Sailing Club, MI
The 2019 Crystal Ball Regatta was sailed on August 24,. It was a beautiful 75 degree day with ENE 8 MPH wind allowing the PRO, Kent Davis, to utilize the full length of the mile and a half long lake. The first race was won by Freyja Davis and son Jon Davis, The fleet of 6 returened to the club for a lunch. 2019 Women’s NAC at Massapoag Yacht Club, Sharon, MA – Day 1
The day started with a postpone on shore with light and squirrily winds. PRO Gary Werden and crew kept a watchful eye on the weather and we did finally have one race before lunch It was a shortened windward- leeward course and after lunch there just was not enough wind to race. At 4PM the wind filled in from the south and we got in 2 great late afternoon races before calling it a day. 2019 Women’s NAC at Massapoag Yacht Club – Arrival Day and Practice Race

2019 Fontelieu One Design Regatta at Cedar Point Yacht Club Westport, CT
There was a time when only Thistles raced in the two-day Fontelieu Regatta in the Long Island Sound off of Westport, CT. After all, the regatta is named after Ted Fontelieu, a capo of the Westport Mafia (aka Thistle Fleet 99). Not that Flying Scots and Lightnings weren’t invited; they were, but the Thistle Fleet’s East Coast Fall Series participants seemed to dominate the field. Not so this year. Cedar Point Yacht Club’s decision to organize a second One Design Regatta (“ODR”) for center board fleets on September 28 & 29 comes just in time for Flying Scots across the region to race… Read more
