There is a video on the site from this weekend where a “reef” technique was discussed for racing.

For any repair or replacement, you can always talk to the folks at the factory.  They are GREAT!  info@flyingscot.com

The FS site http://www.flyingscot.com often has directions for installation direcftions for many parts/accessories.

This may sound simple, but Call the factory, you may be able order directly from them as well.  They are wonderful.

The Factory is the best place to get it done.   Im sure some boatyards in you area could do it and order the materials directly from FS Inc.

GRSA in Richmond has 2 used Scots for sale on its website under Classifieds section.  Both are still available.

I think the rules only apply to temporary coating below the waterline.  Marine grade hull paint is not an issue for what you are describing.
Hopefully others will chime in here
From the Class Rules:  No temporary coating of grease, graphite, pot lead, etc. is allowed on the hull, center-board or rudder. Waxing of the hull, centerboard and deck may be done at the option of the owner. (See also CMR’s #28 & 72)
From Meaurers Rulings:  Any bottom coating which is represented by the manufacturer as designed to last one season is not a “temporary coating” and therefore not prohibited under the provision of S-V-3. Any legal coating may be applied only once per calendar year. (revised March 2013)
    Happy Painting!

All the lines, parts etc you will need are sold by flyingscot.com.  If you have questions, they are most helpful.

I assume you may be looking for used parts, but have you looked on  http://www.flyingscot.com ?  Harry sells all of the parts you need and they ship them the same day if you call in the morning and talk to Dee or Harry.
Best customer service you can get.

Thank you for the advice.  I think I will eventually get the RHC main.  I went with a Mad standard main and snug jib as I usually sail in 5-10 kt winds.  However, ALMOST EVERY travel regatta I have done winds have been 10-15+ and we are usually at a disadvantage (especially upwind) weight wise.

I got my wife to endorse buying a Flying Scot after taking her sailing on my 420  on a gusty day.  She’s now my race crew.  Does that count?
