    Friends, 
    I will be wet sailing my FS this year and am painting the hull.  The boot stripe needs to be repainted as well as the bottom, but the earlier coats are clearly different kinds of paint.  The boot stripe looks like latex paint.  
    Any suggions as to what this paint should be ideally?

    Don’t use latex paint.  There is a boot stripe paint available for marine use.  Make sure you sand any loose paint.

    Interlux Brightside
    Not meant to be under the water.  Brushes on great – looks like it was sprayed.  Prep well, tape off well and do a few coats…  Sand lightly in between and use a tack cloth.
