Always a Fun Time at the Roger Punzi Memorial – Candlewood YC, CT
We always enjoy going to Candlewood Yacht Club for the Roger Punzi Memorial and this year was also the 50th Anniversary regatta for Fleet 24. This year we started out with 12 boats registered but no wind so we had a postponement. But the Race Committee found the wind later in the day and we were able to get in 2 great races, and Greg and I won! We’ll see a longer writeup soon, but wanted to thank Mark Riefenhauser and the fleet for another fun day in Connecticut – our last regatta for the year! Results are here. Read more

The biggest concern, however, was winds blowing around 25 plus! We had 18 boats attempt to race and were only able to… Read more

We had the very able PRO Dan Goldberg squeeze two races out of the light, north-northeast winds Saturday and then two more great races Sunday when the wind finally arrived from the south. In Saturday’s first race Bill Vogler and Jack McClurkin caught Bruce and Lynn Kitchen, who have been having an outstanding season. In the second race the Kitchens came back and,… Read more
