For sale I have a 2020 Flying Scot hull number 6181. I am the second owner and I bought it from Irish Boat Shop up in Michigan. The first owner had the boat for about three years but barely used it in fresh water only. He bought it in hopes to get into sailing but did not like it and went back to a motor boat. He kept the boat stored indoors for about a year and a half.
The boat was originally built as a daysailer with a jib furler (included); however, I turned it into a racing boat with triple console (controls racing vang, topping lift & Cunningham), racing spinnaker control lines, blocks & halyard spool and wire outhaul control. All modifications were professionally made and conform to all FSSA racing regulations. I used the boat in its original daysailer configuration for one season (approximately 8 times). After setting it up for racing, the boat was (sadly for me) only used twice in 2025. It has been seating on a yacht club covered by a professionally installed vinyl wrap for the last twelve months. I just unwrapped it to take photos. It’s time for me to sell it so that it can get the use that it deserves.
All of the rigging is virtually in brand new condition. The boat is as new as you are going to find a used boat to be. There are a few cosmetic marks on the port side rail from bumping against the dock and a barely noticeable cosmetic scuff mark near the bow that it will come out if buffed.
The boat includes a telescopic ladder and outboard motor mount as well as a full canvas cover and a canvas “tent” like cover. It comes with the factory installed inflatable flotation device under the bow, Styrofoam under the benches and with anchor & line. I have the original documentation from Flying Scot.
