Thank you for your advice. My first roller – that is the roller at the end of the trailer is deep in the water. The next roller moving forward is just above the water’s surface. From what your are telling me, I have the trailer too deep. So, the rear roller should be at water level [?]
Also, I usually have a boom tent cover on and the boat is moving more with the wind. I guess I should wait and cover the Scot after it is on the trailer.
I am looking for insurance coverage while on the water and on the road. Thanks for all the input and advice.

FS 4957Well, I have looked at BoatUS and USSailing. At first glance, I did not like the depreciation calculations for determining my Scot’s value. Guess more phone calls are in order.
Any other suggestions from FS owners?

FS4957Well, Transom, you were right. I just checked with my agent – auto policy only covers trailer. Now to check my homeowner’s policy.
My real concern is liability coverage. [B)]

My wife and I took sailing lessons at Deep Creek Lake and the capaize drill was the first on water lesson. Each student took turns at the mast (to keep from turtleing) and walking the centerboard (to right the boat). This built a lot of confidence amoung the newbees. [^]
For safety an instructor was in the boat with us to help get the Scot to capsize and then to give us in water instructions. A safty boat with 2 aboard was also watching. The most difficult thing was getting the board walker back into the boat!

FS 4957Yes, I agree. Some of the film is dated, but it clearly shows what the Scot can do. The web site needed something fresh and this is just the ticket. I hope they continue to expand on this media.[^]
