Have always had the old school, horse shoe: wood mount, motor bracket that seemed to be able to carry a 40 HP ?!
My current boat has one of the more petite looking SS brackets and SS rods with a bracket.  I need a 4HP engine – usually a 2 stroke’ll do it ( anything less and it will not fight the currents and waves I sail in ).  They weigh about 35-45 lbs.  Can this new bracket configuration hold it with ease ?
