2015 Flying Scot Raffle – you have bought ALL the tickets – THANK YOU!
You may remember that we are raffling off a brand new, built to order Flying Scot in the color of the winner’s choice. We said we would sell a minimum of 200 tickets and a maximum of 250 tickets. The proceeds after paying for the boat will benefit the Flying Scot Foundation that helps us ensure the future of Flying Scot Sailing. Former FSSA President and Chief Measurer Don Hott dies at age 95
This week, the Flying Scot community is a little sadder for the loss of long-time Scot sailor Don Hott, who passed away Sunday, May 3, at age 95. He is a founding father, a former Chief Measurer and former President of FSSA who sailed in the first 50 NACs. As Harry Carpenter said “We lost one of the really good guys with the passing of Don”. Harry had crewed for Don in the first NAC Harry ever attended at Riverside in 1973. Don was also a founding member of Deep Creek Yacht Club and the members there will miss him dearly.… Read more

Did you get to go to the Great 48?
The 2015 Great 48 was this past weekend 5/2-5/3/2015 at Lake Norman Yacht Club in Mooresville, NC. Unfortunately Mother Nature was not as kind as one would hope and there was little wind Saturday and none on Sunday. But If you were there lucky you – there were 42 teams to share the fun times with and it’s always a great time at Lake Norman! 2015 Space Coast Invitational Regatta / Florida District Championship
Indian River Yacht Club hosted the Florida District over the weekend of April 11th and 12th for the Florida District Championship. The weekend kicked off with many Scots arriving on Friday afternoon and early evening; the much anticipated Space-X rocket launch was delayed due to weather and was pushed off until Monday evening; however, the weather delay that was not good for rockets was great for sailboats! Who’s going to the Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show?
