2022 Ohio District Championship – Sail for the Grail
From Dan Tobin: The Ohio District Championship and Fleet 80 Sail for the Grail Regatta were held together on September 10 and 11 at Lake Arthur, Moraine State Park, Butler County, Pennsylvania. Wind conditions were light on Saturday, and the Race Day PRO Dan Goldberg set up three LF2 courses. The wind held pretty steady (for Moraine), and three races were completed by mid-afternoon. The Sunday traditional format was a Bridge-to-Bridge race that traversed the entire lake in one long lap. 2023 New England Districts at Stone Horse Yacht Club, Harwichport, MA
New England District winners Peter and James McAvoy! Thanks to Jack McGowan and Stone Horse Yacht Club for hosting. We had 5 awesome races in 15-17 MPH North Winds for the first few races then laying down to about 12. Twenty two boats registered for what turned out to be a wet and wild weekend for the 117th Ephraim Regatta. We hope all those that travelled to Ephraim for the weekend get home safely! 17 boats at the 2022 NERD – Moriches Yacht Club, NY
Moriches Yacht Club in New York hosted the 2022 NERD with 17 boats on the line. Saturday came with big breeze 10-17 MPH and temps in the high 80’s. Hopefully there were no shark sightings, although the movie Jaws was playing on a big screen on the lawn Saturday night! Sunday was about the same wind and temps so the teams, with some sailing 3 up, had a great workout The top 3 skippers were in their early 20’s and gave the others a run for their money. 2022 Midwest Districts at Delevan Lake, WI
By Randy Blaser Midwest District Championship: When competitors gathered at Delavan Lake, WI., last weekend (7/23-7/24/2022) for the FS Midwest District Championship, they experienced a season’s worth of weather in one weekend, great competitive racing, and meeting up again with old friends and new ones at the beautiful grounds of the hosts Delavan Lake Yacht Club. Day one began under sunny skies and near perfect conditions with winds at 8 to 11 mph.
