Bay Waveland Yacht Club in Bay St.Louis, MS, will host the 2023 Midwinters – NOR and registration on Regatta Network at https://www.regattanetwork.com/event/25614 Hey Folks, we are throwing a party and you are invited. Our yacht club is a beautiful facility as you can see from the pictures, built after Hurricane Katrina, bigger and better. Our sailing venue is especially fine: close enough to the open water to get winds but none of the rough seas that you expect outside the bridges and not far enough inland to have squirrelly winds. FLORIDA DISTRICT DATE CHANGES / UPDATES
The following date changes and additions are being made to the Florida District Series. Upper Keys sailing Club event is moving to the weekend of May 20-21, 2023. This change takes away any conflicts with Mother’s Day and may ease availabilty associated with accomodations. Space Coast Regatta is moving to the weekend following its scheduled date, now to be scheduled for April 22-23, 2023. This change allows the Florida District to support to the Choo-Choo Regatta at PYC Mount Dora Regatta is being added to scoring for the Florida District Series. LNYC Fall 48 Regatta
The Fall 48 typically has cooler temps and bigger breeze. Mother nature got the breeze right but not the temps! We kicked off the regatta Friday evening with a chili cook-off. Five LNYC members brought crockpots of chili and it was a great opportunity to taste a wide variety. The big news on Friday was the finalization of the 2023 Flying Scot North American Championship to be held at LNYC the first week of June 2023.
