2023 Junior NAC – Cedar Point Yacht Club, Westport, CT
The Cedar Point Yacht Club in Westport, CT is excited to be hosting the 2023 FSSA Junior North Americans on July 7-9. The class has approved a “juniors only” event and details on qualification, fees and schedule are in the NOR posted here: https://cedarpointyc.org/regatta/epbe59oB9w We encourage teams to bring your own boats but a limited number of competitive loaner boats will be available on a first come basis. 2023 Great 48 at Lake Norman Yacht Club
Over 30 boats from 10 different states came to the 2023 Great 48 Regatta. Temperatures were perfect with overnight lows in the 50s, highs in the low 70s, and a full moon as a bonus! It was so pleasant at the dock Saturday morning we decided to stay there a little longer and let the wind fill in. After a postponement ashore and a general recall, “most” competitors got in 1 long race in 4 to 6 mph winds. The others got a chance to start the party early. Registration is Open for the 2023 NAC At Lake Norman Yacht Club
The flagship event for the Flying Scot class is the North American Championship. This year the event will be held at Lake Norman Yacht Club. If you have never been to LNYC, it is a wonderful venue located in a central location. LNYC is a member-run club located just north of Charlotte, North Carolina. It is situated on about 20 acres in a quiet corner of Lake Norman. The club is known for its friendly members and wonderful grounds.
