2023 Wife-Husband at Birmingham SC – Day 1

The sun was shining and it was 80° so we can’t complain! We got in 2 four leg W-L races after a postpone and a race abandon. Winds were light and variable, sometimes 5, sometimes 2, but we got spline races done. We’re here at the 2023 Flying Scot Wife-Husband Championship at Birmingham Sailing Club in Alabama. 39 boats are registered and we can’t wait to get out on the water. 2023 ACCs at Lavallette in NJ Affected by Tropical Storm Ophelia

The weather did not cooperate last weekend at the ACC’s at Lavalette. The 40+ gusts on Saturday and 25+ gusts on Sunday brought by Tropical Storm Ophelia were a bit above our guidelines. Thanks to Lavalette Yacht Club and chair Roy Childers for hosting and giving it their all! Read more

2024 Midwinters – 3 day event on President’s Day weekend

Did you know that the 2024 Midwinters was being held in conjunction with the Lake Eustis George Washinton Birthday Regatta on 2/16-2/18/2024? The Lake Eustis fleet requested this format and the Board of Governors approved it for one year. We’ll see if it works well and if it makes sense to move forward with this as a formal change to our rules. 2023 Whale of a Sail – Carlyle Sailing Association, IL

From the Carlyle Sailing Association Website – The Whale is now history! The theme of this year’s event was Margaritaville and was a tribute to our beloved past commodore, Linda Vitt, who died in April of this year. We also honored Ted Beier who passed away in May of this year. He was a long time member of CSA. He was a founding member of CSa and held many offices most recently he was Vice Chairman of the Board.
