GRSA Memorial Day Regatta
From Facebook by Richard Baucom Results – https://fssa.com/content/2025-grsa-memorial-day-regatta Congratulations to Kate Gomes and Kailyn Reilly on winning the GRSA Memoria Day Regatta. Richard Baucom and Mackie Boblette took second and Keith Henderson and Logan broke a five way tie for third place. Chris Greatwood “shadow raced” the FS Fleet in his Laser. Had the day been scored in the Portsmouth Handicap System, Chris would have finished in second place overall. LNYC Great 48 Regatta Report
The Flying Scot Great 48 Regatta at Lake Norman Yacht Club is always a fun regatta and a great place to race sailboats. Regatta chair, Carol Sandke, ensured that this year was no exception. Thirty-one Scots signed up which included several multi-time national champions in the Scot fleet and other fleets. Friday night’s welcome dinner included open taps and tasty tacos. Saturday’s weather forecast included thunderstorms, but we got off the 1st race on time in southerly winds of 6-10 mph. 2025 Midwinters at Ft Walton Yacht Club is a Wrap
2025 Midwinters 1 race only. Friday’s wind prevented us from continuing. Saturday’s wind prevented us from going out. Sunday’s thunder and lightning was a sure sign we would not be sailing.
