centerboard repair

Does anyone know how to straighten out the centerboard? Mine looks like a propeller. I guess someone ran it aground. I've thought about grinding the sides down until it becomes flexable and then re glassing it. Cletus

When I bought my boat the centerboard was split so bad that I had to pull it out from the bottom of the boat. I took it to a local body shop and picked it up a week later, repaired and primed for 100.00. After I managed to split the lower edge on my own I only needed to grind it down and re-glass it. Before doing so I ran resin around the lead slug to make certain that it was secured and there were no places for water to collect. If I recall correctly, the factory was kind enough to mail me a template for the shape of the centerboard.
