Day 1 started out with everyone dancing to R-E-S-P-E-C-T on the dock, and these women sure derserve that! Mother Nature gave us 80° sunny skies and awesome wind, NNW at 10-12 MPH building to 16-17, with PRO Jack Yors running 3 W-L races. The places changed in every race with some pretty fierce competition! After 3 races, Lynn Bruss & Monica Gaitan lead in Championship and Bowman O'Connor, Rachel Mittman & Katie Bayless lead in Challenger.

2022 FS Women’s NAC at Corinthian Sailing Club In Dallas, TX - Nina Cummings is here welcoming the 17 teams registered for this year’s event. It’s in the 80’s but the wind was in the 20’s today, just too much for a practice race. But we’re here saying hi to all our friends and enjoying the wonderful Texas hospitality at the welcome party. Racing starts tomorrow - let’s see if Greta Black Mittman, winner of the last two events, repeats against this year’s teams. Good luck all!

There were 34 boats registered for the 2022 Choo Choo Regatta at Privateer Yacht CLub in Tennessee. They had a great weekend with 5 races and some close racing.  Lynn Bruss and crew put on a great event and we should all get this on our travel calendar going forward!  Top 3 teams were Richard Wade and Jim Leonard from Birmingham Sailing Center, Dave Rink and Brian Evans from Lake Norman Yacht Club and Michael Faugust and Jennifer Ikeda from Ephraim Yacht Club and Sarasota Sailing Squadron.

We were very sad to hear of the passing of (GE) Jerry Hartman, long time Flying Scot sailor snd champion, and husband of former Scots n' Water editor Lynn "Sunshine" Hartman. Jerry was instrumental in growing the Flying Scot class and made every event he attended so much more fun. He will be sorely missed. Take a look at an article by Deb Aronson, also a past Scots n' Water editor, and turn to...
