We're here at the 2023 Flying Scot Wife-Husband Championship at Birmingham Sailing Club in Alabama. 39 boats are registered and we can’t wait to get out on the water. Richard Wade and his team have been very welcoming, helping each of us set up and be ready to sail - Lake Logan Martin is ready for us!
The weather did not cooperate last weekend at the ACC’s at Lavalette. The 40+ gusts on Saturday and 25+ gusts on Sunday brought by Tropical Storm Ophelia were a bit above our guidelines. Thanks to Lavalette Yacht Club and chair Roy Childers for hosting and giving it their all!

Did you know that the 2024 Midwinters was being held in conjunction with the Lake Eustis George Washinton Birthday Regatta on 2/16-2/18/2024? The Lake Eustis fleet requested this format and the Board of Governors approved it for one year. We'll see if it works well and if it makes sense to move forward with this as a formal change to our rules.
