Summer Solstice Regatta, June 22-23 2013

RULES

The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.  The regatta will also be governed by the Flying Scot Sailing Association rules.

 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY

This regatta is open to all boats of the Flying Scot Class.  You may register on-line

(see www.FS42.org) or use the Mail-in Registration Form included below in this document.  Payment can be mailed or presented the day of the regatta.

 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

June 22         0930  Registration

0930 -1100 Continental Brunch

1130   Skipper’s Meeting

1200   Committee Boat Leaves Dock

1300    Warning Signal, Races 1-3

1600   After racing appetizer party

1700   Dinner

 June 23         0800 – 0900 Continental Breakfast

                        0900  Committee Boat Leaves Dock

                        1000  Warning Signal, Races 4 & 5 (no races will start after 1300)

                     ~1430  Lunch and Awards

 FEES AND REGISTRATION

$70.00 U.S. early registration (received by June 11, 2012) or $75.00 U.S. day of the regatta.

 Registration includes: Saturday: Brunch, Appetizers, 2 Dinners

                                       Sunday: Continental Breakfast, 2 Lunches.

Each additional meal package, $20

 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

Sailing instructions will be available at registration.

SCORING    

The Low Point System of Appendix A will apply except a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores, no score will be excluded.  One race is required to be completed to constitute a regatta.

 AWARDS

Awards for skipper and crew will be given to the top three placing teams. There will also be two mid-fleet awards for skipper and crew.
