The Southwest District encompasses all of Texas, Arkansas, Colorado and Oklahoma.

Our active fleets in Texas are Corinthian Sailing Club in Dallas, Rush Creek Yacht Club in Heath, Lake Canyon Yacht Club in San Antonio and the Wichita Falls Club in Wichita Falls; Grande Maumelle Sailing Club in Roland, Arkansas, Colorado Sail & Yacht Club in Littleton, Colorado and Central Oklahoma Flying Scot Fleet in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  

Our District Governor is Robert Cummings from Fleet 23 in Dallas. The Southwest District is also home to FSSA 2nd Vice-President, Nina Cummings.

The Open House Regatta is the Flying Scot Fleet 23 signature regatta at Corinthian Sailing Club on White Rock Lake. This year marks the return of the Texas Steak Dinner Saturday night, along with all of our usual fun and great food. The US Sailing Championship of Champions is being sailid at the Balboa Yacht Club in Corona Del Mar, California from 10/9/2020 through 10/11/2020. Flying Scot sailor Mary Ann Hopper, wiinner of the 2018 Women's NAC is participating in the event with crew Charlie Jenkins. Go Mary Ann and Charlie! Fleet 23 at the Corinthian Sailing Club in Dallas, Texas, hosted their 46th Annual Open House Regatta on October 18-20, 2019.  There were 38 boats on the line, 24 Championship, 9 CHallenger and 5 Non-spinnaker - what a great turnout!
